What Closed12 is
Closed12 sells app testing as a service. A developer buys a campaign: a number of testers, a number of days, a session length. We assign testers from our own pool, they test the app and submit feedback and proof, and we pay them. Testers are engaged by us as independent contractors. A developer does not choose, employ or contract with an individual tester.
What Closed12 is not
Closed12 does not sell installs, ratings, reviews, retention or ranking. We do not accept campaigns whose purpose is to manipulate any app store's metrics, and we do not pay testers for ratings or public reviews. Feedback goes to the developer privately.
For developers
You must have the right to distribute the app you submit for testing, and it must not be unlawful, malicious, or designed to harm the tester's device or data.
Testing is delivered as tester-days. Twelve testers for fourteen days is 168 tester-days. Each approved session delivers one. If we cannot fill your campaign, or testers drop out, the undelivered portion is refunded. See the refund policy.
Feedback and recordings from your campaign are for evaluating your app. Do not use a tester's recording for any other purpose, and do not attempt to identify or contact a tester.
For testers
Do what the session asks, honestly. Submitting a recording of something other than the app under test, using an emulator or modified device, running more than one account on a phone, or otherwise faking a session, forfeits the reward for that session.
Repeated or deliberate fraud results in a permanent ban and forfeiture of the unpaid balance. We will tell you the reason.
One phone, one account. Your device is bound to your account at first sign-in.
Payment is per approved session, at the rate shown when you accept the job. Money becomes withdrawable per the rules shown in the app. Withdrawals are made to the bank account you register, in multiples of the minimum shown, and normally reach you in one to two business days.
You are an independent contractor. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will say why.
Liability
We provide the service as it is. We do not guarantee that a campaign will be filled, that any particular tester will complete it, or that testing will find any particular defect. Our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the campaign it relates to.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction.
